Best Show on Television.

If you haven't been watching Modern Family, you absolutely should!  It's the most hilarious, original show on television.  For years, I have been lamenting the death of (good) sitcoms.  Then rolled around the Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, now Community and Modern Family.  Modern Family makes my week-- it's right there on Wednesday when you need a pick-me-up to make that last push to the weekend.

It's about a family-- Jay and his second wife Gloria, with her son, Manny.

"Fliza Minelli"

Then Jay's son, Mitchell and his boyfriend, Cam, and their daughter, Lily.

"I'm big, I'm not fancy, and I dare you to not like me."

And lastly, Jay's daughter, Claire with her husband, Phil, and their three kids: Haley, Alex, and Luke.

"Phil Dunphy, yo."

"When I believe, you believe."

All together now...

Absolute hilarity.

  1. Hi Katie! I'm visiting from Southern Mommas. Although I haven't watched the show you referred to in your post, my husband and I think that Big Bang Theory is absolutely hilarious! Happy Wednesday!

  2. I need to record Modern Family. Every time I watch, it's hilarious.

  3. Here from SM and This is one of my favorites as well! I also am a HUGE Community fan!

  4. It's hilarious! I just love it too, and I really like Cougar Town right after it.

  5. Definitely one of the best shows out there...cracks me up! New follower from Southern Mommas. Have a great weekend! :)

  6. I love The Big Bang Theory and I also love Modern Family. The best episode is when Shelly Long guest starred as Jay's ex-wife. She needs to do some more appearances on that show.

  7. Ok. You've convinced me. I'm going to start watch it. I used to love Gilmore girls and don't know if I can stand to see Lorilei in another roll! LOL

  8. Glad to know that everyone else loves it too! And, yes-- Cougar Town is hilarious as well.

Rhianna-- that episode was hilarious. Yes, more Shelley Long would be fantastic.

Kathleen-- It's not Lauren Graham in Modern Family. She's in Parenthood, which is VERY different. Much more dramatic than Gilmore Girls and not nearly as good, IMO.
