Lessons of the Week.

This has been a pretty interesting week.  I've learned some big things and some not-so-big things.  Here are a few.

1.  It is possible to get tired of Diet Coke.  I know, I know-- many of you will think I'm crazy.  And those who know me will be incredibly concerned about me.  But, it's true.  At the height of my addiction, I was drinking 3-4 (maybe 5 or 6 if I went out for lunch or dinner) cans/glasses a day.  But, after a non-voluntary withdrawal period, I discovered not only that I can live without them, but that they don't taste as good anymore.

2.  Women hold grudges for a REALLY long time.  I do not understand this.  If I have a fight with someone (which does not happen often), it's over when it's over.  I do not carry it around with me for weeks or months on end, refusing to talk to them and trying to get people on my side.  Why are women like this?  Deal with it and move on.

3.  When five starters and one utility player are on the DL (disabled list for you non-baseball people) or otherwise injured, it's hard to win games or even play well.

4.  Steve Carell and Tina Fey make one hilarious duo.  Add a shirtless Marky Mark, and it's the movie of the year.

  1. I went through a voluntary withdrawal period from Diet Coke a little over a year ago, and I still crave it occasionally, but you're right, when I drink one it doesn't taste nearly as good as I remember.

  2. Hi there! I found your blog through Southern Mommas! I look forward to reading :)
