Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

After all the hype surrounding this book, I was pretty disappointed.  I liked the beginning when Berendt told the stories of all the characters.  But once it got to the trial, then the second and then third trial, I was ready to be done.  Then once Minerva the witchdoctor (or whatever she was...) came in working all her voodoo, I could not wait to put this down.  But I do not quit books, so I pressed ahead.

I kept thinking how much better the story could be until I realized that it's supposed to be non-fiction.  But even with the truth of the actual events restraining the author, there was so much that could've been improved-- focus on other things, change the points of view, etc.

Final grade = C+
