Truth Revealed.

1. I lived in Washington, DC for a year before law school working for Senator Richard Burr.  I did live in DC and work for Richard Burr, but it was only for a semester while I was in college.  And, he was a Congressman at the time.  It was one of the coolest experiences of my life.  I thought about staying and working in DC, but came back for law school instead. Washington, DC is still one of my all-time favorite cities.  :)

2. I totaled my car twice within a six month period.  This is true.  Technically the first time was not my fault, but the second one definitely was.  Thank goodness this accident is going to roll off my car insurance this year.  Totaling your car is not cheap.

(It was NOT like this!)

3. I have never broken a bone in my body.  Until 2008, this would have been true.  But, thanks to car accident #2, I broke my right foot.  Fortunately, I was living at home at the time so my parents could help me and drive me around.  I don't know what I would've done if I had been on my own.

4. I've watched soap operas since I was a child. Even now, I DVR All My Children every day.  I have watched soap operas since I was little.  It started with Young & the Restless, then Bold & the Beautiful and As the World Turns.  When I was in college, my roommate got me hooked on General Hospital.  I've been able to wean myself off of every one except General Hospital, which I love and do DVR it every day.  :)

5. One summer during college, I went on tour to the West Coast with my brother's band.  Sadly, this is not true. :(  My brother did go on such a tour to the West Coast with his band while I was in college, but I did not go.  Which is sad because I would love to go to the places they went, but also not because I would've been riding in a van with four or five dudes around the age of 18 for weeks.  Can you imagine the smell?  Haha.

Only Meghan guessed the right one.  So apparently I'm a pretty good liar.  But I guess that comes with the job.  ;)

  1. Cute post! I'm a Y&R fan too...been watching it forever!

  2. Oh man, I used to watch The Bold & The Beautiful allll the time! I can't do it anymore, though. It hurts me to watch. =P

I suppose being a good liar DOES come with your job! Not that you would EVER do that, of course. ;-)

  3. I had a roommate in college that watched All My Children, but I haven't watched it since then. I never got hooked on them.

That is AWESOME you got to work for a senator (congressman). :) I've never been to D.C. It's on my list, gotta plan a trip!!

  4. Just found your blog and twitter through mutual bloggy friends; love it!

  5. Me again, traveling through>>>>>>>>

I used to be a courtroom clerk. Interesting work, but I quit to move my children from Southern California to rural Missouri. We have been much happier here.
