Mid-Week Update.

I cannot believe that it's Wednesday already!  This week has been crazy at work, and the time is absolutely flying by.  More on that to come later...

But work drama notwithstanding, this week has been pretty great.

Monday night, Emily and I celebrated the Bachelor Pad finale with some delicious Indian food.  It was our first attempt with a Pinterest recipe, and I must say that it did not disappoint.  Delish!

And for the record, the Bachelor Pad finale was bo-ring.  Although I couldn't believe how Jackie just laid it all out there about her relationship with Ames.  Whoa, girl-- national television audience, here.  And what in the world is wrong with Holly that she couldn't drop Michael a text BEFORE announcing on television that she's engaged to another dude.  Seriously??

Moving on-- I fell in love with this super-cute trench coat last Friday at NY&Co but couldn't bring myself to shell out $90 for it.  But by Monday, I was still thinking about it PLUS I had a $30 off coupon.  So, I went back and got it.  I LOVE it!!

And I'm glad I bought it this week because I'm definitely gonna need it this weekend with temps in the 50s and 60s!  I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it!  Today and tomorrow look to be our last day in the 80s for a while.  Thank goodness fall is here in NC!!

Then yesterday, these beauties arrived in my office from Donny!  I could not have been more surprised.  Or thrilled.  I swear, he surprises me in the best ways sometimes.  :)

And to top off yesterday's amazingness, our small group Bible study FINALLY got back together after a summer hiatus.  I didn't really realize how much I rely on that group to get me through sometimes, but I do.  It was rough being without them, and I'm so, so glad that we're back to meeting every week again.  To celebrate, Sarah made these wonderful creations-- Pumpkin Spice Latte cupcakes.  Omg-- sooooo good!  (Recipe from Annie's Eats, I'm pretty sure.)

And since I didn't have enough pumpkin last night with the cupcake, I got a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino this morning since I had to drive all over God's green earth today.  If y'all think the PSLs are good, you HAVE to try these!!  No joke-- one of the best things I've ever tasted.

Hope you're all having a great week so far!  :)

  7. Ah, I am so jealous!! I would LOVE to be there in the fall!!! Being in NC in the fall is my favorite. =) And I love the trench coat! I've been wanting one for forever, but clearly I don't need one now. I still need to try a pumpkin spice latte too. Working on that one! Getting flowers is the BEST! Joe surprised me with tulips last week... *happy sigh* ;-)

  9. Those flowers are perfect. And your trench looks great on you! I love NY&Co. I love that Bible study started again. I so miss being in one when we're off. Thankfully I found a new group and it's been great. p.s. why is it Bible study seems to require dessert?

  10. Sorry for the marathon commenting, but I have to on this post. First off, you rock that trenchcoat. Seriously cute! I love your hair.

Annnnddd the Bachelor Pad...I cannot stand Holly and I cannot stand Blake. Seriously, you really had to humiliate Michael on National television? Classy. And clearly Michael was the better guy. CLEARLY. Grrrr.
