More Jillian Michaels Torture.

The other night, I got home pretty late from work and didn't want to head back out to the gym.  And I didn't feel like my usual 30 Day Shred torture.  So, I pulled out Yoga Meltdown.  Let me tell you, "meltdown" is an appropriate term.  One workout is on 30 minutes long (including warm up and cool down) but I had sweat dripping from my face before 15 minutes had passed.  

I liked this workout-- it's much more intense than I had assumed given the word "yoga" in the title, so I felt like I had accomplished something.  My only complaint was that a fair amount of this workout was done in downward-facing dog position, and my wrists and hands are not used to such.  

The next day, I could definitely feel soreness in my tush and arms.  Actually, my neck/shoulders was where I felt it the most, which probably means I was doing the poses incorrectly.  But, it wasn't nearly the total-body soreness that I get with 30 Day Shred.  

Overall, I thought it was good, not great.  I think I'll probably stick with my 30DS and Six Week Six Pack and just toss this one in when I need a change of pace.

You guys have any workout DVDs that you love that I should try??  


  1. Have you done her Ripped in 30 video?? I actually like it a lot better than the 30 Day Shred. The second level of the workout for this one (as far as I've gotten ) is really good. I'd try that one if you haven't yet.

  2. I swear by this DVD when I'm feeling a little down and need a pick me up. I've been using it for a year or so and one day is donned on me, "I have NEVER gone on to level 2????!!!" Not sure how that even happened... However, I tried it out for the first time a few weeks ago and love the 2nd level just as much! Glad you like it too :-)

  4. Maybe I need to pick this up and do it with the 30 Day Shred DVD that I hope to dust off? I have GOT to get with the program!

  5. I'm impressed!!! I just use my Denise Austin DVDs!!! Well, not lately...cuz I'm walking!! But I do plan to use some dvds.... as soon as I get a dvd player for my bedroom.
    I absolutely MUST lose some poundage!!! :)
