This Weekend I...

This was the first weekend in a while that we didn't go anywhere, and it was great!  This weekend I...

... spent a nice relaxing evening by myself on Friday.  I haven't had an entire night to myself in a month, and this weekend my temporary roommate Emily was out of town.  So, I had the whole place to myself.  It was lovely.  I came home, immediately put on my PJs, popped some popcorn, and settled on the couch to watch the Ranger game on tv (which I won't talk about) and Revenge on Netflix.  I missed Donny a lot, but it was good that I had some time to recharge.

... got addicted to Revenge.  I don't know why I didn't start watching this when it came on originally, but it's awesome.  Thank goodness for Netflix, which has the entire first season streaming, and Hulu, which will hold the season 2 premiere for me for five weeks.  I'm only six episodes in, but I love it.

... was unable to sleep past 8:30am.  I tweeted Saturday morning that I'm apparently getting older since I can't sleep late anymore, and it seems I'm not the only one.  I used to be able to sleep 'til 11am or noon, and I loved it.  Sadly, I think those days are over.  Guess I'll have to become productive before lunch on the weekends now.  Being a grown up is hard...

...had a great meeting at our reception venue with our wedding planner and their site coordinator.  We nailed down the reception timeline, picked out our reception foods for a tasting later this week, did a walkthrough of the venue, and set up the layout of the room.  It was great because they were setting it up for a reception later that evening, so we got to see what it will look like with all the tables, chairs, and food stations set up.  I also thought it was particularly helpful to have both my planner and the site coordinator in the same room so I  could get both of their expertise on some of our questions.  Less than five weeks away-- this is starting to get real, y'all.

... watched both my Tar Heels and Gators beat up on some conference rivals on Saturday and the Yankees take Game 1 of the ALDS last night.  It was a great sports weekend for me!  Not so much for Donny though... :(

... we went back to the same Sunday School class again this Sunday.  There were a lot more people this week, and it was really great.

... realized my car needs some work desperately.  The check engine light came on this week, and it's started surging forward when it's idling in first gear.  Not good.  I'm taking it to the shop after work tonight, so say a little prayer that it doesn't need a $1500 repair or something ridiculous...

Hope you all had a great weekend!!  :)

  6. Revenge is AMAZING. I've been addicted since it first started airing. Nolan Ross is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time!
