Wedding Wednesday-- Getting Ready.

The morning of the wedding, the girls and I all got ready at my house.  I did ultimately decide to do my own hair and makeup, which turned out to be SUCH a good decision.  I was so glad to be able to do what I wanted and not have to worry about what someone else is going to do to my face or hair.

Donny's facebook post for the day read, "Going to the chapel, and we're gonna get... well you know the rest."
Mimosas!

Walking to the chapel

Time for the dress!

And shoes!

The girls had some issues getting my veil on...

Which led to me needing my "special" juice...

But it finally got fixed.  Then I sat down wrong and slightly broke my dress...  Thank goodness for my wedding planner who was there to sew me back into it.  Please also note Emily holding a kleenex-- she stabbed herself with the needle and started bleeding much too close to my dress.

Meanwhile, what are the guys up to?

Their time once they got to the chapel was not nearly as full of excitement as the ours...

  1. These are gorgeous! I wish I could say that I was going to do my hair and makeup for my big day in the future, but I trust someone else more, haha!

  2. Why is it the men always have it so much easier?

  4. Oh my goodness, I can't believe your wedding planner had to sew you into your dress! I guess that's what we're there for though ;) Beautiful pictures my dear, and you did such an amazing job with your hair and makeup! Thanks so much for linking up today, and I can't wait to see more!

  5. Beautiful pictures!! Thanks for sharing. :) I've always thought the contrast between girls and guys in the "getting ready" photos is funny.

  6. Love these photos! Your dress was beautiful!

I would have been so nervous if I ripped my dress on my wedding day! So glad it was fixed in time :) I just got my wedding dress a few weeks ago and STILL need to figure out how to get the bustle to work right. I've tried so many times and it doesn't do ANYTHING.
