My Favorite Moments of 2012.

As you can probably imagine, this year has been an absolute whirlwind!  So instead of doing a month-by-month recap (like I did in 2011), I decided to revisit some of my favorite moments or events of 2012!

1. In February, I walked off a plane at Love Field to Donny on bended knee with an engagement ring!

2.  In April, my dad and I went to the race in Martinsville-- our last father/daughter trip before Donny moved to NC.

3.  Also in April, I played for the orchestra in a production of The Wizard of Oz, which was SO MUCH fun.

4.  At the end of April, I took one of my favorite trips to Texas, where we spent the weekend in Fort Worth.

5. In May, my family had a great weekend celebrating Mother's Day and my brother's 25th birthday. And if that wasn't enough to celebrate, it was also Andy Pettitte's return to major league baseball.  :)

6.  Also in May, Donny and I celebrated our one year anniversary with some fun in DFW.

7.  In June, Emily and I took an impromptu trip to Washington, DC!

8.  One of my very favorite things about 2012 was the Olympics!!

9.  In August, I flew to Dallas early to surprise Donny for his birthday!

11.  Also in September, I finished my favorite book of 2012.

12.  Late in September was my Bachelorette Beach Weekend!

14.  And of course in November was my favorite day of the year-- Our Wedding Day.  Then we spent a wonderful week in Jamaica!

Happy New Year to you all!  Here's to an even better 2013!  :)

Our First Christmas Together.

Our first Christmas together was wonderful!  It was SO great to be together instead of 1200 miles apart for the holiday.  I do wish that we could spend some time during the holidays with Donny's family, but oh well...

On Christmas Eve, we went with my parents to the Moravian Lovefest at Old Salem.  I went with my family every year to the Lovefeast growing up, but we haven't been in several years.  So, it was a tradition that I wanted to start again with Donny.

After the Lovefeast, we came home and wrapped gifts, watched the Charlie Brown Christmas, I cooked/baked, and we spent some quality time together relaxing on the couch.

On Christmas morning, Donny and I got up and exchanged gifts at home.  One of my gifts was this Yankees shirt!  He also got me a lap desk from Brookstone, which has turned out to be maybe my most-used gift so far.  And also some diamond and sapphire earrings, a food processor, and more...  (Some of these were designated birthday gifts, but I can't remember now which was which.)  I got him a vintage Guinness ad from an Irish publication to hang in his "man cave," some books that he's been wanting, some legos, and tools.  It was a great morning between the two of us.

And then it was time to head to my parents house!  We had so much stuff to take over there-- presents for my family, a tv that I've been promising my mom, their air mattress, and all the Christmas treats I had made.  Our car was so full...

My mom always has the most beautiful Christmas tree!

At my parents' house, we always give the dogs their stockings/gifts first.

After the excitement with the dogs, the humans open their stockings.  Then Christmas REALLY gets under way...

Donny and I saved one present for each other to open at my parents' house.  His was a miter saw...

And mine was these awesome Yankee snowflake pajamas!!  These babies have not left my body if I've been in the house (and I also may have worn them to get some sweet tea from the McDonald's drive-thru last night...).  I LOVE them so much!

Donny made this for my brother, who is somehow a huge One Direction fan.  Donny and I even autographed it for him.  :)

My parents got me a bunch of accessories to go with my new camera, including a remote control!  I was apparently very excited when I opened it...

From my parents, I also got the Hobo Lauren clutch I've been wanting FOREVER, a new monogram bracelet, and some makeup.  My brother got me a panoramic picture that he took from our wedding on canvas-- super cool.

After opening presents at my parents' house, we went to my grandma's house.

My mom and I played paparazzi wars all day long.  :)

And of course, we couldn't forget my birthday!

We spent some time there playing games with my family, which was a blast.  Then Donny and I went to see Les Miserables for my birthday.  It was great, and the music was INCREDIBLE.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!
