This Weekend, I...

... celebrated my grandma's birthday.  She turned 76 on Friday (although you'd never know she was 76 from looking at her), so we all got together for dinner and birthday cake.

... reverted to children.  We got Peter Pan on blu-ray on Friday (and some newfangled skittles), so when we got home from birthday celebrating, we had to watch it!  I LOVE Peter Pan-- it's one of my fave Disney movies.

... finished Safe Haven.  I wanted to read it before the movie came out this week, and I'm SO glad I did.  It was a fantastic book.  I highly recommend it!

... celebrated milestones.  Saturday was our engage-iversary.  Hard to believe it's already been one year since I walked off the plane at Dallas Love Field to find Donny on one knee with this ring for me!
And just as hard to believe is that Sunday was our three month wedding anniversary!  Holy cow.  We celebrated our engage-iversary by going to eat Mexican, then Donny took me to get a cupcake.  :)

... made breakfast for Sunday School.  It was my turn this week, and I was tired of having sweet stuff (muffins, donuts, coffee cake...).  So, I made a breakfast casserole (and some muffins too b/c our class is big, and I didn't know how far the casserole would go).  Sadly, I forgot to get a picture before the vultures attacked, but it was a big hit!  I'll get the recipe up for you sometime this week.  It was SO GOOD-- this is all I came home with out of a 9x13 casserole...
Someone almost ate the last piece that I took home before I got any!

... finished and filed our tax return!  It took some places FOREVER to get me the documents I needed to file, but they all finally arrived.  And hallelujah, a big, fat refund is coming our way!!  :)

How was everyone else's weekend??

  5. I can't bring myself to read a Nicholas Sparks novel, but I'm glad you liked it! I had a feeling I knew who picked out the Skittles when I saw the picture! I haven't seen Peter Pan in years!
