So, another weekend has come and gone. And now it's Monday again. Our weekend was pretty full and lots of fun. But busy Sundays always leave me feeling like I need another day to recover before going back to work! Too bad I couldn't have today off of work too... Oh well. Friday is only a few days away.
This weekend, I...
... watched baseball. Of course. Thursday night, I spent the evening in bed watching the Yankees on one computer screen while watching real shows on the tv. This is pretty much how I'll spend evenings for the entirety of baseball season. Although sometimes it's one baseball game on the computer and another baseball game on tv... (ps-- Did y'all watch this week's Big Bang Theory?? It was my favorite half-hour of television in a long time. I was DYING laughing!)
... finished another book. I'm already at 20 books read for the year!! Last year, I read 26 books total, and this year I'm almost there before the end of April! My original goal for this year was to read 30 books, but I've increased that to 50. Donny's been reading like a machine too, and DVRs definitely feel neglected. Both the ones in the living room and the bedroom are starting to fill up... Haha.
Several of my books recently have been read on our kindle because I can get them quicker from the library that way. But I encountered one of the biggest problems of kindle reading instead of paper book reading this weekend when it died on me just when I got to the good part of the story!! I love the convenience of the kindle, but it just can't beat a real book.
... went to Martinsville for the race! Sunday, we got up bright and early to head to my parents' house to meet them to go to the NASCAR race in Martinsville. My dad and I have been to this race at least ten times over the last several years (including last April), but this was Donny's first trip to the track and my mom's first race anywhere in probably 15 years!
My dad and I have a system when we go to the track. We get there early, park in the same spot, then wander around the merchandise trailers and other pre-race entertainment before heading into the track.
Donny and Dale Jr.
Once we got inside the track, we found our seats and proceeded to take a gazillion pictures (like any good blogger...).

Time to go racing!
... found out that I'm going to have a new sister! During the race, my brother texted me this picture along with the caption, "She said yes before I could even ask the question!!!"
That was our very eventful weekend! How was everyone else's??
