I was born on the coldest Christmas Day in North Carolina history to my wonderful parents. I spent three and a half blissful years as the apple of their eye until an interloper arrived in the form of my brother Drew. (Just kidding. :) Oh, and happy birthday!!) My childhood and adolescence was pretty great– we traveled, played sports and music, had fun, and all hung out together. I lived in the same small-ish, but constantly growing, town my whole life, where I went to a private Christian school, until I moved to Chapel Hill, NC for college, not to mention the culture shock of my life. I spent three of my most life-changing years as a UNC-Chapel Hill student, including a few months as a Washington, DC resident and Capitol Hill intern, before moving back closer to home for law school at Wake Forest. I'm now a practicing criminal defense attorney, although I like to consider myself a Defender of Constitutional Rights. In 2011, I went to Dallas to visit a friend and met Donny, the man who would become my husband. After a year and a half of traveling from NC to TX and back, he moved to NC, and we got married on November 10, 2012. My life hasn't been perfect, but I love to look back to see God's hand and know that there's been a plan for my past and there's one for my future.
Let's be real-- there's no way I'm going to be able to blog every day this month or even attempt it. But I liked today's prompt, so I joined in. :)
