Lord, I Need You.

We sang this song at church on Sunday, and I've heard it several times in the last few weeks.  Starting on my 40 days of prayer yesterday, I feel like it's the perfect song to pray through every day.  No matter how often I've heard it recently, it moves me each time.

Lord, I Need You
by Matt Maher

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You

Jesus, you're my hope and stay

  1. Love this song! The song that gets me every time, no matter how many times I hear it or how often I hear it, is Our God Is Greater by Chris Tomlin.
