Fall To-Read List.

My GoodReads to-read list is getting out of control. I have over 200 books on it, some from years and years ago. So, I've decided to start reading some of those books from a couple years ago in an effort to clean out my list. Coming up are...
Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie
Still Missing by Chevy Stevens
Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes by Diane Chamberlain
A Time to Kill by John Grisham

There are also several movies coming out this fall/winter based on books, so of course I have to read the book before I go see the movies.
The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort
(TWoWS might be a problem because it's not carried by my library!  Anyone want to share??)
The Monuments Men by Robert M. Edsel
The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp
Austenland by Shannon Hale

And then three of my favorite authors have books coming out soon that I am SO excited to read! I'm going to have to read a few Michael Connelly books to catch up to Gods of Guilt, but that won't be a problem.
King & Maxwell by David Baldacci
Sycamore Row (sequel to A Time to Kill) by John Grisham
Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly

What's on your upcoming to-read list??  Anything I need to add?

  1. The Monuments Men by Robert M. Edsel looks like one I'll have to add to my list and the hubby's. I didn't know about the movie. We'll have to see that.

Thanks for stopping by The Book Connection.

  2. I LOVED Still Missing & The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes. They're two of my faves, actually. I have SO many on my to-read list, too. I have told myself that I can't buy anymore books until I read the ones I have now.

  5. Ooh Devil in the White City sounds interesting!

I love that I posted about TV and you posted about books. Clearly I need to focus more on the latter hehe!

  7. I read A Time To Kill many years ago and it is still one of my favourites. I am always torn as to whether I like the book or the movie more for this one. Usually, I always go with the book. This time I love them both so much and for different reasons. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  8. I'll be curious to hear how you like the Spectacular Now. The trailer looks fine, but I couldn't get into the book. I gave up before I listened to the first disc (rare for me).

  10. I love to read books before the movie as well!! I need to do some updating on goodreads. I get really over excited with the scan thing on the app...have you used that? Once I scan like the 10th book at Target or wherever...I have to remove myself from that part of the store! Ha.

  11. I have Still Missing & The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes on my "to-read" list too! I've heard so many great things about both. I loved Balzac and the Little Seamstress- it's short but such a great story. I'm about to start The Ocean at the End of the Ocean for book club... I hope it's good!
