My Favorite Christmas Songs.

I've been listening non-stop to Christmas music for weeks now, and my Pandora feed is full of classics from Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Eartha Kitt, which I love.  But some of my favorite songs are originals or re-made classics from more recent artists.

I tried not to fill up the list with Steven Curtis Chapman songs, only including two here.  But he's undoubtedly one of my favorite people to listen to at Christmastime with wonderful original songs that help remind me why we celebrate Christmas-- the birth of Jesus.

Here are a few that I love and never ever fast forward when they come on--

Hallelujah (Light Has Come) by BarlowGirl
Carol of the Bells / What Child is This by Point of Grace

The Night Before Christmas by Steven Curtis Chapman

Baby, It's Cold Outside by Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone

 Christmas by Michael Buble

Christmas Time Again by Steven Curtis Chapman

Joseph's Lullaby by MercyMe

  1. I don't think I've heard all those songs by those specific artists. I am very partial, however, to the Zooey Dhoweveryouspellit and Leon Redbone song!

  2. Too funny that you mention Baby it's Cold Outside. Yesterday Manfriend, his little lady and I were walking from one store to another. It was a tad bit chilly. The Little Miss (She's 7) started singing, Baby it's Cold Outside. So Manfriend and I joined in, only to realize we didn't know about half the words, so we did what any self respecting adult type people would do, we made them up. I believe that Baby it's Cold Outside now talk about Elephants... Christmas song fail. lol. Thanks so much for sharing.

  3. LOVE all your music! Point of Grace's Christmas C.D. is always playing in our home :) Also, love Baby It's Cold Outside - for some reason the line "if you catch pneumonia and die" always makes me giggle even though its not a laughing matter! Maybe it's just the way his voice says it? I'm not sure. Anyways, love this link up and being able to find more amazing bloggers! Thank you!
