A Wonderful Christmas and Birthday.

This Christmas was wonderful.  It was certainly different, with my brother being in California and our dog Maggie not being with us anymore.  But despite those empty places, we had a lovely time.

I love having a house decorated for Christmas.  Lights, ornaments, stockings, and a mantle full of Christmas cards from friends and family that we love make our home feel so full!
I was so excited to give the gifts I had purchased this year, despite loving how they looked around our tree!
Our 2014 ornament-- a beautifully hand painted Christmas scene!

Our Christmas Eve was pretty low key.  Donny worked in the morning, while I wrapped some gifts at home and spent some time reading.  We went to our church's Christmas Eve service that evening, and it was wonderful.
Then we came home and watched A Charlie Brown Christmas, our annual tradition.  We also found A Muppet Christmas Carol on netflix and watched it.
Christmas morning, Donny and I got up and had our Christmas at home before going to my parents' house for breakfast and gifts.
Emma wasn't as excited about Christmas as Maggie used to be.
And this is probably her last Christmas.  :(
My mom took flowers from my wedding bouquet and Donny's boutonniere and put them in this pretty glass jar for us!
After Christmas gifts, we quickly transition to my birthday!  The clarisonic Mia is one of my favorite things of the day.  I've used it for the last three nights, and I love it so much!
For lunch, we went to my grandmother's house, where we had a great time.
And birthday cake!
I loved these Christmas trees on the side!
Donny and I spent Christmas night relaxing at home and watching Mary Poppins (a Christmas gift from my parents)!

On Saturday, while Donny was home building me some storage for all my new kitchen appliances, I went out with my favorite ladies for my birthday to tea!  It was a wonderful time in a beautiful place with some of my favorite people.  A great way to celebrate my birthday!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!

I think it's seriously awesome that you embrace having a Christmas birthday!! You have an incredibly grateful heart, and I think you would have that same attitude if your birthday wasn't on Christmas, but I just love that you are so positive about sharing your day with such a big holiday!! I admire you for that :) And I'm glad you had a good birth-mas!!
